“I’m youth! I’m joy! I’m a little bird that has broken out of the egg!”
—J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan
This nationally-recognized program has sparked the careers
of dozens of young, gifted theatre artists in areas that
include design, performance, management, and technical theatre.
RRTC interns, competitively recruited from all over the
country, get the opportunity not only to learn but also to immediately
apply their skills in a working professional environment. Interns
work closely with and are taught by highly qualified professionals
in every field.
Available internships include:
Acting · Costuming/Wardrobe · Carpentry
Electrics · Properties Stage Management
Administration · Scenic Painting
These internships are designed to give capable and motivated individuals
hands-on experience in the area of their primary interest while
at the same time exposing them to the many different aspects and
demands of professional theatre. Our interns are an integral
part of our company, participating in a fast-paced, summer-long
intensive program that both teaches and pushes them to heights they
never dreamed possible.
We’re proud to offer this exciting opportunity to interested
individuals who are 18 years or older. Candidates
should possess a determination to learn and an eagerness to accept
new challenges. Long hours and physically demanding work
can be expected, so applicants must be prepared and willing. A theatre
background is preferred but is not a requirement. Academic affiliation
is also not a requirement; however, the applicant should have some
experience in their chosen field of interest. In addition to a warm,
friendly, and fun-loving demeanor, our ideal intern candidate would
also possess:
- good verbal skills
- the ability to get along and work well with others
- an appetite for challenge
- mental and physical strength
- the interest and skills required to participate in professional theatre
We encourage all interested persons to apply – we want to hear from
you!
